ACACIA CALISTHENICS CLUB INC. MEMBER AGREEMENT, PRIVACY STATEMENT and CODE OF CONDUCT

 

BY REGISTERING WITH ACACIA CALISTHENCIS CLUB INC. YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING:

MEMBER AGREEMENT

In consideration of the acceptance you/your child’s (“the Member”) membership with Acacia Calisthenics Club Inc ("the Club").

CASA MEMBERSHIP (included in membership fee)

I understand CASA Membership is not transferable and not refundable and must be paid in full by the commencement Term 1 (or before third class for new members). Without payment of this fee the Member is NOT insured or permitted to train.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP (included in membership fee)

I understand Club Membership is not transferable and not refundable and must be paid in full by the commencement Term 1 (or before third class for new members). Without payment of this fee the Member is NOT insured or permitted to train.

PAYMENT OF FEES

  1. I acknowledge I will pay fees on time. I understand if fees are not paid within 7days of issue, the Member will be ineligible for participation, at the discretion of the President.
  2. I understand if the Member does not complete the year, I am obliged to pay fees inclusive of costume hire, performance levy and the appropriate tuition fees, as deemed by the President.
  3. I understand that all fees must be paid in full for member to be eligible for Skills exam and to participate in Solo/Duo/Graceful season.
  4. I understand Camp fee is not refundable and must be paid in full if Member withdraws from Acacia or Camp less than 45 day before Camp start date. I also understand Camp fee will not be reduced if Member choses not to stay overnight at Camp and only participates in day time activities.
  5. I agree, to pay a late fee for overdue due fees. I understand the late fee is $10 and it will accrue monthly, until overdue fees are paid in full.

CLASS AND PERFORMANCE PARTICIPATION

Calisthenics is a sport where success is determined by the commitment of all team members. I understand, it is compulsory for members to attend (Future Stars excluded):

  1. Class every week. Injured members are expected to attend class to observe
  2. Classes during April school holidays
  3. Cali Camp during April school holidays (Tinies and Seniors excluded)
  4. Extra practises before May performance 
  5. May Demonstration (Tinies excluded)
  6. Classes during July school holidays
  7. Extra practises as scheduled
  8. Royalty Theatre stage practise - July/August
  9. CASA State Championships - July/August
  10. Acacia Showcase - July

AWARDS

Years of Service badges are given to students at 5, 10, 15 and 30 (life) years. I understand, to accumulate a year of service the Member must attend all the following for the current year:

  1. May Demonstrations (Future Stars excluded)
  2. Acacia Showcase
  3. CASA State Championships

All members who have participated are presented with a memento for their hard work each year. I understand, to be eligible to receive this memento the Member must be financial AND attend all the following (Future Stars excluded):

  1. Cali Camp (Tinies and Seniors excluded)
  2. May Performance
  3. Mid-year Concert
  4. CASA State Championships
  5. Acacia Showcase
  6. Awards Day

VOLUNTEER ROSTER

As part of the Club’s affiliation with Calisthenics Association of SA (CASA), we are required to provide volunteers at Royalty Theatre events. To avoid relying on the same people to volunteer each year, Royalty volunteers will be selected randomly via lottery draw. I understand:

  1. If selected, I am required to supply a volunteer for allocated day.
  2. If I supply a volunteer, I will receive $20 “thank you credit” on my account.
  3. If I cannot supply a volunteer, I will advise the Club at least 7 days before the volunteer day.
  4. If I do not supply a volunteer, CASA’s $50 “failure to supply volunteer” fine will be added to my account.

UNIFORM

  1. I understand Club uniform is compulsory for all Sub-juniors to Senior students. I agree to ensure the Member has full uniform and white shoes for all performances.
  2. I understand Club jacket and leggingis are compulsory for all Tinies students. I agree to ensure the Member has jacket, black leggings, and white shoes for all performances.

DEVICE POLICY

I understand and will advised the Member:

  1. All recording devices (visual and audio) including but not limited to mobile phones, tablets, smart watches etc. must be turned OFF during classes and performances.
  2. Coaches may request members to hand in devices during class and performances if devices are not turned off.
  3. Members and their parents/guardians must not photograph, video, or record audio in class without coach’s permission.
  4. Where permission has been granted to record a routine for rehearsal purposes, use of that recording has been authorised for that purpose only and under no circumstances must be posted or allowed to be posted on social media other than to that team’s private Facebook group.
  5. Images of members taken at the Club’s classes or events must not be posted on Social Media without that member’s consent.
  6. Choreography is owned by the coach and/or Club. No choreography is permitted to be posted on social media without permission from the coach and/or Club.
  7. If parents/guardians/siblings/friends etc are invited to view a rehearsal, recording routines, and taking photographs is not permitted without prior written consent from the Club President.

COMMUNICATION

I understand, most Club communication is done via Facebook. It is my responsibility to ensure I join the Club’s private Facebook group and the Members private team Facebook group.

WAIVER RELEASE & INDEMNIFICATION

In consideration of the Member participating in any way at Club events, activities, or classes, you acknowledge and agree that:

  1. I the Member or parent or legal guardian of the Member, do hereby grant permission for the Member to participate in Club event, activity, and classes.
  2. I further acknowledge and understand by participating at Clubs events, activities, or classes there is a possibility of physical illness or injury and that the Member/parent/legal guardian is assuming the risk of such injury by participating. I authorise any representative of the Club to consent and authorise any medical attention by qualified and licensed medical personnel for the Member, which may become necessary.
  3. I understand the Member’s emergency contact will be notified as soon as possible in the event of an emergency. I understand and agree that all expenses of such treatment are my responsibility.
  4. I agree to protect, defend, indemnify and hold the Club or the event party, including its staff, employees, volunteers and sponsors from and against any and all claims, demand, losses, suits, liabilities, costs, or other damages including court costs and attorney’s fees, arising from any injury to, or death of the Member, the undersigned, or any other persons or damage to or destruction of property arising out of or in connection with any damage to third parties occasioned by, incident to, arising out of, or in connection with the Member’s participation.
  5. I willingly agree to comply with the Club’s events stated & compulsory terms & conditions for participation. If I observe any unusual significant concern in the Member’s readiness for participation and/or in the event itself, I will remove the Member from the participation and bring such attention of the nearest official immediately.
  6. I understand and agree, the Club and/or its coaches/ volunteers may create private Facebook groups for the Member’s team and upload images and videos of classes to that group for educational purposes. I understand that the Member may be included in video or photography taken during classes. I hereby grant the Club permission to upload photographs and/or videos of the Member to private team Facebook groups.
  7. I understand the Club may produce promotional material from images and video taken at classes/event/activities. I understand that the Member may be included in video or photography taken during these classes/event/activities. I hereby grant the Club the exclusive right to photograph and/or video the Member and further to utilise the Member’s face, likeness, video, and appearance as part of these events or activities, and in advertising and promotion of the Club.
  8. I agree, by registering that any other/previous waiver and/or release and/or declaration representing identical and/or similar subjects signed and/or agreed to online in consideration of the Member and the Club are now obsolete and this DECLARATION, WAIVER RELEASE & INDEMNIFICATION take precedence.

By registering, I agree I have read this release of liability and assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its terms, and join freely and voluntarily without any inducement.

 

PRIVACY STATMENT

  1. I authorise the information provided during registration be used by the Club for the administration of the sport of calisthenics in accordance with the objectives of the Club. This information will be held in confidence by the Club and I understand that I can access my personal information through the Club upon request. If this information is not provided, I understand that I might not be permitted to participate in Club or CASA classes/event/activities.
  2. I authorise the Club to forward the information provided in the online registration to CASA, or Australian Calisthenics Federation (ACF) for use by them in the administration of the sport of calisthenics at state and national levels and in accordance with the respective objects of CASA and/or the ACF.
  3. I agree to the Club, CASA, and/or ACF sending me information pertaining to programs and promotions conducted by them from time to time.
  4. I authorise the publication of my competition and exam results.

By registering  I agree I have read this Privacy Statement, fully understand its terms, and join freely and voluntarily without any inducement.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT

Acacia Calisthenics Club Inc. is committed to the positive influence of Calisthenics on the emotional development, building of self-esteem and the development of leadership skills of both students and coaches.

PARTICIPANTS

  1. Certain behaviours are expected of all participants to promote a positive club image and good team relations.
  2. Be an active team member and represent the Club with pride.
  3. Be a good sport. Treat all participants in your sport as you would like to be treated. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another team member.
  4. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background, or religion.
  5. Cooperate with your coach, team-mates, and opponents. Without them there would be no sport.
  6. Work equally hard for yourself and/or your team. Your team’s performance will benefit and so will you.
  7. Be punctual and attend all weekly training sessions and extra practices as requested by your team coach/coaches. If unable, inform the coach as soon as possible.
  8. Control your temper. Never argue with a coach. Verbal abuse, or deliberately distracting or provoking others are not acceptable or permitted behaviours in any sport.
  9. Be frank and honest with your coach about illness and injury and your ability to train fully. Provide copies of medical advice where appropriate.
  10. Participate for your own enjoyment and benefit, not just to please parents and coaches.
  11. Act respectfully towards officials and members of opposing Clubs and respect the Adjudicator’s decision. Remember you are representing the Club.
  12. Follow the rules set out by the Club, ACF, CASA or AASCF.
  13. Avoid individual or collective behaviour, which may be regarded as offensive, disruptive, or inappropriate.
  14. Make no detrimental statements in public (including statements on social media) in respect of the performance of any team members, Coaches or Club officials. If you have an issue, please inform your coach or the President as soon as possible so it can be addressed.

SOCIAL MEDIA

  1. Must not offend, intimidate, humiliate, or bully another person in the Club.
  2. Must not be misleading, false or injure the reputation of another person in the Club.
  3. Should respect and maintain the privacy of members.
  4. Must not bring the Club into disrepute.

PARENTS/GUARDIAN

Parents/guardians are also bound by the above code and should actively demonstrate and encourage the above behaviour. In addition:

  1. Focus on the effort, performance, and development of the Member.
  2. Let the coach do the coaching.

CONSEQUENCES FOR BREACH OF THE CODE OF CONDUCT

The President in consultation with the Team Coach reserve the right to discipline any person in breach of this Code of Conduct in a manner which they deem is appropriate and fair, or at a future time that is agreed upon. Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in the following consequences:

  1. Verbal warning.
  2. Written warning.
  3. Removal from the team.
  4. Removal from the Club.
