Classes

Recreational Classes

Recreational classes are all about fun, making friends and learning to follow instruction. Students in recreational classes gain a foundation in calisthenics, ballet technique and gymnastics.

Commitment: Low Commitment. - Students in recreational classes can perform at our Showcase in July, but it is not compulsory.

Demonstration Classes

Demonstration classes aim to introduce students to performing on the big stage without the pressure on competitions. Students in demonstration classes gain a good foundation in calisthenics, ballet technique and gymnastics. and learn 3 routines per year.

Commitment: Low Commitment -  Students in demonstration classes perform at our Showcase, and at the Royalty Theatre in July or August.

Competitive Classes

Students in competitive class learn a routine in all calisthenics core items - March, Rods, Exercises, Clubs, Aesthetic and 1 fancy item each year. Routines are learnt during Terms 1 to 3 and are performed at our Showcase, CASA Demonstrations in May and CASA State Championships in August. Whilst we know the term "competitive" can sound scary to parents and children, we can assure you being a part of a competitive team is fun and a great way to build confidence, resilience and friendships.

Commitment: Moderate to High - There is an expectation that students in competitive teams attend every practise, extra practises, school holiday practises in April and July, a stage rehearsal, Acacia Showcase, May Demonstrations and August competitions.
